Our Board of Directors provides fiscal and strategic oversight for our programs
The Community Foundation operates with a volunteer Board of Directors who guide the Community Foundation toward its mission of helping every person in Orangevale and Fair Oaks to FLOURISH. Our Executive Director and staff work together with an amazing team of community volunteers to make the important work we do happen.

Brad Squires
Founder & CEO
Brad was part of the team that launched the Orangevale -Fair Oaks Food Bank in 2011, and continues to serve in a leadership role with each of our program. His entrepreneurial spirit and business background have become an asset to the community. He desires to make Orangevale and Fair Oaks an even better place to live. Favorite quote: "The value of a life is always measured by how much of it was given away."

Lisa Montes
Secretary
Lisa has invested hundreds of hours in making Orangevale a great place to live. She has served in positions supporting the Orangevale Chamber of Commerce, Orangevale Women's Club, and is instrumental in putting together several key community events. She has a big heart for our community and serving those in need.

Paul Winther
Treasurer
Paul is a CPA and recently retired after a 40+ year career in accounting and finance, most recently as controller of a commercial real estate developer in Sacramento. He has served as an Elder and Deacon at Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church and has been a member of the church’s Finance Committee and Building Committee. He is excited to be part of the Community Foundation as it expands into new service opportunities.

Keith Wright
Board Member
Keith has been dedicated to this organization, first as a volunteer and later in leadership, for more than a decade. Keith is a member of multiple local community service clubs and has served on a number of boards over the years. Professionally, he serves in nonprofit management for City Net, a California based Homeless Services organization. Keith lives in Fair Oaks, where he and his wife have been raising their family for the last 25 years. He loves our communities and believes that investment, time, and talent will ensure that future generations will continue to choose Orangevale and Fair Oaks as their home.

Danielle Mendoza Buffalino
Board Member
Danielle is a community engagement professional with over 15 years in nonprofit management, marketing, and community relations work. She currently oversees community engagement efforts as well as employee giving and volunteerism at SMUD. Danielle lives in Fair Oaks with her husband and two young kids. She is passionate about youth development and equitable opportunities for all to thrive.

Dave Carlsen
Board Member
Dave Carlsen was born and raised in Folsom and now proudly lives in the OV. After graduation from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and four years with Triage Consulting Group, Dave hit the ground running as an Associate with Avison Young Commercial Real Estate. He was awarded Regional Rookie of the Year and Sacramento ACRE Rookie of the Year Finalist. Now a seasoned commercial real estate professional, he has closed 120+ lease and sale transactions across the Greater Sacramento Area. He lives happily with his wife (Molly), 2 year old daughter (Josephine), baby boy coming October 2024, and their golden labradoodle (Wendy).

Susan Wheeler
Board Member
Susan Wheeler retired from SMUD where she set the company’s direction for clean energy workforce development in the Sacramento Region. She is passionate about working with community members to help them identify and prepare for thriving wage careers. Susan is currently adjunct professor at American River College where she teaches entrepreneurship. Since moving to Fair Oaks 25 years ago, she continues to look for opportunities to help her neighbors.

Pete Schroeder
Board Member
Pete Schroeder is a longtime Fair Oaks community leader, connector, and advocate for collaboration. As the founder of Fair Oaks Community Action Partnerships (FOCAP), Pete has dedicated years to bringing together nonprofits, organizations, and community leaders to strengthen the region through partnership. As a dedicated member of the FO Rotary Club, FO Historical Society, and FO Chamber, Pete's leadership and commitment to service stands out throughout the community. Outside of his volunteer leadership, Pete is an accomplished singer, songwriter, and performer who enjoys bringing people together through music.
