Our staff and volunteers are amazing

The Community Foundation operates with a volunteer Board of Directors who guide the Community Foundation toward its mission of helping every person in Orangevale and Fair Oaks to FLOURISH. Our Executive Director and staff work together with an amazing team of community volunteers to make the important work we do happen.

Executive Director, Josh Hall

Josh has been involved with the Community Foundation since 2018 helping to lead the first
Big Day of Service and he has served as our Executive director since the Fall of 2022. Josh has called Fair Oaks home for the past 7 years, with his wife Kelly, who works at Bella Vista High School, (Go Broncos!), and their 3 kids and 2 dogs. Prior to serving as the Executive Director of OVFOCF, Josh served as the Lead Pastor of Fair Oaks Church. Josh is passionate about building community, bringing people together, and he is FOR Orangevale & Fair Oaks! Josh loves to help build a stronger community foundation in Orangevale & Fair Oaks. Josh is dedicated to the mission of the Community Foundation and committed to making a difference in our community by helping everyone in Fair Oaks & Orangevale to flourish.

Brad Squires

Founder & President

Brad was part of the team that launched the Orangevale Food Bank, and continues to volunteer there in a leadership role. His entrepreneurial spirit and business background have become an asset to the community. He desires to make Orangevale and Fair Oaks an even better place to live. Favorite quote: "The value of a life is always measured by how much of it was given away."

Lisa Montes

Secretary

Lisa has invested hundreds of hours in making Orangevale a great place to live. She has served in positions supporting the Orangevale Chamber of Commerce, Orangevale Women's Club, and is instrumental in putting together several key community events. She has a big heart for our community and serving those in need.

Paul Winther

Treasurer

Paul is a CPA and recently retired after a 40+ year career in accounting and finance, most recently as controller of a commercial real estate developer in Sacramento. He has served as an Elder and Deacon at Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church and has been a member of the church’s Finance Committee and Building Committee. He is excited to be part of the Community Foundation as it expands into new service opportunities.

Brenda Epperly

Board Member

Brenda is a Registered Nurse and recently retired from California State Government after a 30+ year career working in medical or behavioral health facilities and running a statewide healthcare program. She has lived in and around Orangevale/Fair Oaks for much of the last 30 years. She has also been a volunteer puppy raiser for a local service dog organization, raising 3 puppies. Brenda is passionate about helping people, who struggle to help themselves, be more successful.

Jack McGurk

Board Member

Jack has played a leadership role in several non-profit organizations and serves as the Executive Director of the Hospital Alliance Association in their efforts to protect patients and staff by eliminating hospital acquired infections. He chaired the building committee at Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church in constructing their new 40,000 square foot children's and youth building.

Jenny Roberts

Board Member

Jenny has more than 15 years’ experience working for non-profits. In her current professional role with the American Heart Association, she works with foundations across the Western United States. Jenny and her family moved to Fair Oaks from Southern California almost a decade ago. She’s thrilled to contribute to the community as a board member and loves to see neighbors coming together.
